Jet skiing in Tenerife: where are the best spots?

The southern part of the island is best suited to jet-skiing, although you can jet-ski all over the island. To find the best places to jet-ski in Tenerife, go to :

1) Playa Las Galletas :

We'll take you on a 60 km jet-ski safari. With its mix of water sports, coastal towns and dolphin watching, this type of excursion will delight young and old alike.

2) Port of San Miguel :

Let's go for a Jet Ski safari, with a choice of 1 or 2 hours with an instructor who will accompany you to see the most beautiful spots on South Tenerife! Not to be missed!

3) Los Gigantes

A little further north on the west coast near Masca, you can take a jet ski outing to Los Gigantes. Glide across the water on a jet ski facing the cliffs of the giants. 

4) Adeje :

The south coast is ideal for mass tourism. Numerous jet-ski excursions will take you there to spend a few magical hours on water at an ideal temperature all year round.

5) Playa de Las Americas :

Regulations and safety 

Must be at least 16 years old with mandatory parental authorization.

Must be 18 years old to operate the watercraft alone.

Passenger must be at least 5 years old and measure at least 1.30 meters.

Maximum weight for a jet ski carrying 2 persons generally should not exceed 170 kg depending on the models.

No boating license required if accompanied by an instructor in a specific circuit.

If you have a boating license (coastal or inland), you are permitted to operate a jet ski alone within a designated area.

Must have necessary equipment for this type of water activity. Equipment is typically provided by the jet ski rental club and includes a wetsuit, life jacket, and emergency beacon. Additionally, navigation tools (marine chart, RIPAM, buoyage system, etc.) are essential for outings beyond two nautical miles.

In case of a fall, a tow rope and a kill switch must be available.

Stay within the marked area throughout the excursion.

Individuals with heart problems, back pain, serious illnesses, and pregnant women are not permitted to ride a jet ski.

Be in good physical condition as this water sport engages all muscles of the body.

Do not embark with a child under 8 years old. The passenger must also have good physical condition to withstand the motorized water vehicle (VNM).

Don't forget your sunglasses and your phone, which you should put in a waterproof bag, to call for help if needed.
